final clip was taken at 1000 frames per second. The drop height remains the
same. First, the hemispherical cavity rolls upward into a
beautiful twisting column. When the column collapses, a cone
forms beneath the surface that soon gives rise to a high second
column that breaks into 4 droplets. A large bubble of air
forms beneath the column as it collapses. The bubble remains
in the center of the glass, rocking up and down as the water
starts to settle.
