Small droplets
have landed in the water, producing the two dark spots on either
side of the main splash. The crown is sagging, and the rim
appears to be moving toward the surface faster than the crown is
collapsing.
It
would be an interesting project to see whether the rim meets the
surface before the crown collapses, or whether the rim follows
the crown during its collapse.
