Is it possible to stretch a rubber band without pulling simultaneously on both ends? In the photo, an elastic strip similar to a rubber band is hanging by a pushpin from a meter stick. The meter stick itself is hung from black threads that cannot be seen. The bright, blurry spot to the left of the strip is a BB headed for a collision. Predict what will happen when the BB collides with the strip.
