| Assembled Transistor Photogate
Trigger with Breadboard
(TPG-BB)
This photogate trigger uses a transistor which switches on when
the infrared beam from the emitter is blocked from reaching the
detector. The circuit has a rapid response. Sensitivity is
adjusted with a 100-kW variable resistor. The two transparent components near the
back of the breadboard are
the emitter and detector. These can be mounted wherever
needed and connected to the breadboard with the included 3-conductor
cable.
