PCB for Multi-Trigger

MT-PCB3 (assembly required)

The new version of the Multi-Trigger PCB kit is available for purchase. This is a significant upgrade from the previous version. The following are new features:

power switch and power-on indicator LED
jack for optional AC/DC adapter
jacks for microphone, photogate, and external input cables
test button
one additional output jack (for a total of five outputs)

The PC board for the Multi-Trigger provides an alternative to building the circuit on a breadboard. While a breadboard is the most flexible approach to wiring the circuit, with a PCB you hardwire the components and thereby achieve greater durability.

The PC board shown to the right has dimensions of 3.00 x 4.25 in. (7.60 x 10.85 cm). Assembly is required. In addition to the board and components shown, all parts are included for a microphone cable, two types of photogate cables, and an external input cable. Click here for the complete parts list.

You can purchase the PC board only if you prefer to supply your own parts.

The MT-PCB3 has outputs for both flash camera. In order to trigger a camera, you also need an Opto-Switch. (Click here for the Opto-Switch.) The cable to connect to your flash is not included, since that will vary depending on your equipment. Select a cable from the possibilities listed below.

Flash trigger cable kits (assembly required)

All flash trigger cable kits include a connector for the flash, an RCA plug for the trigger, 3-ft of 2-conductor cable, and heat-shrink tubing.
PC Cable Kit Use this kit for flash units having PC jacks. PC2 - $3.60
Vivitar 283/285/3700 Cable Kit Use this kit for Vivitar flash models 283, 285HV, and 3700. VPC2 - $17.95
Flash Shoe Cable Kit Use this kit if your flash doesn't have a jack for a PC cable but can be triggered through a hot shoe. FA2 - $19.95

If using the MT-PCB3 for extended periods of time, we recommend powering the unit with the optional AC/DC adapter.

The AC/DC adapter provides a substitute for a 9V battery to power your HiViz circuits. The adapter accepts 100-240V input voltage at 50-60 Hz; output is a regulated 9 VDC. The power rating is 10 W.
