The schematic of the delay circuit shown above is the one provided with HiViz kits prior to version 10. C represents the 0.47-µF capacitor. Note that the negative (left) side of this capacitor connects to ground (b). This conflicts with the online assembly instructions which show the negative side of the capacitor connecting to pin 3 of the 556 timer (Row 25, Column j). We've tested the delay unit in both configurations and have not noted a difference in operation. However, if you prefer to connect the 0.47-µf capacitor as shown in the schematic above, do the following.

Insert the positive lead of the capacitor into Row 27, Column i.
Insert the negative lead of the capacitor into Row 29, Column i.
