SPG1-DU-A: Schmitt Trigger Photogate with Delay, Assembled

We'll assemble kits for you on a breadboard and test them with a Vivitar 283 flash unit. A 9-V battery or 9-V AC/DC Adapter is required to power the circuit. The circuits are designed to work with flash units and cameras that require a simple circuit closure for triggering. We provide a cable to connect to your flash unit, but you'll need to splice the cable to your flash unit's PC cord or to a Flash-to-PC adapter. Alternatively, you could connect the trigger to your camera with a Camera Opto-Switch or by this method.

We ship assembled circuits in sturdy cardboard boxes that resist crush. If you prefer to have your circuit shipped in a plastic project box, you can add one to your order here. Bear in mind that components can be dislodged in transit and in use. That's the nature of a breadboarded circuit. We will be happy to correspond with you about fixing tech problems that may arise in the initial use of the circuit.

Your assembled unit will come with the emitter and detector soldered to a 3-conductor cable. Click on the photos for larger views.
