The first edition of the manual on which this guidebook is based was written for teachers participating in workshops that I taught. Later, I adapted the material for students in my high-speed photography course. This electronic version contains some new material as well as photographs to illustrate the equipment and the high-speed subjects. Information on how to construct trigger circuits has been moved to the Tools section of the HiViz site.
