Trapped in Color!

This multiple-image photo shows 8 successive images of a trapping collision. The images were produced by 8 flash bursts, 0.60 ms apart in time. Different colored filters were placed over each flash unit, thus making it possible to distinguish overlapping images in the photo. The photograph lends itself to quantitative analysis, since the distance and time scales are both known. Here's a physics lab based on the photograph.
